      you could try Transproxy.. It will be useful when you want to use proxy in your campus for your android internet connection :-)

      IMHO, rooting is the way you get super user access on your android phone. So you can access the root directory, that’s why it is called rooting.. I hope you could understand my answer. There are many definitions of it :-)

      If you use an application that need super user (SU) access then you have to root your phone. If you don’t, then you dont have to root your phone. You must be more careful installing applications, because since you root your phone, any application can access all of your data.

      No, I haven’t upgraded it yet. And I’m not android genius. If you have further question about what you can do with your android phone, you could check on android forums, go google it :-)

    And what can rooting do for a regular person, who doesnt do alot of programing and all.

      Hai Awale,
      There are risks if you have your phone rooted. It can give permission for any apps to access all of your data. So you must be aware when installing application.
      Android phone is great, even if you don’t root your phone. If you are satisfied with your non rooted phone, it’s better to not root it :-D
      I root my phone because I need some applications to run in my phone. These applications need super user access to run, that’s why I have to root my phone.
