Restore Windows 7 MBR after GRUB

I used dual boot on my computer. The first one is for Windows 7 and the other is Linux. But then I removed Linux from my computer for some reasons. Even though I installed Linux again in my computer. There was a problem in booting of my computer. It wasn’t able to boot on Windows, although there is still Windows 7 OS on it. It was because the grub loader was in my Linux, but then I removed it. Of course it wouldn’t boot :-p

So I have to fix the grub loader. It is easy to do it. Follow this step:

  1. Insert your Windows 7 DVD to your computer
  2. Restart your computer
  3. Boot to your DVD Drive
  4. There will be Windows 7 installation menu. Choose “Repair your computer”
  5. Select the operating system that you want to repair and then click “Next”
  6. Open Command Prompt by clicking Command Prompt option
  7. Type “bootrec.exe/fixboot” and press Enter
  8. Type “bootrec.exe/fixmbr” and press Enter
  9. Close the Command Prompt
  10. Restart

Done! You will have your Windows 7 Booting normal again..

Kids stuff :-p
